Phoenix Software International acquires Ascential Software's Key/Master data entry software

Los Angeles, Calif., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire—Phoenix Software International, Inc. (PSI) today announced the signing of an agreement to acquire the Key/Master data entry software line from Ascential Software Corporation. PSI, headquartered in Los Angeles California, will assume all existing maintenance agreements with current Key/Master customers.

"We look forward to continuing the development and maintenance of the Key/Master line. The transition is expected to be a smooth one for the Key/Master customers, since Phoenix understands the needs of data entry software users and has been providing first-rate support to its many data entry customers for nearly 25 years."

Bob Zurek, Vice President of Advanced Technologies and Product Management at Ascential Software Corporation, said "Ascential's core business is enterprise data integration. Key/Master was part of Mercator Software, which we acquired in September of last year. Key/Master is outside of our data integration focus and, consequently, we determined that it would be in the best interest of Key/Master customers to transfer the product to PSI, a company specifically focused on providing support for data entry applications and end-users.”
