K E Y / 1 0 1 7.2 -- R E A D M E -- March 2005 000100 000200 1) If you are upgrading from a Key/101 product release that is prior 000300 to 7.1 then it is imperative that you read the README document for 000400 the 7.1 release before continuing with this document. The README71 000500 member is placed in the Key/101 macro library when the 7.2 version 000600 of the Key/101 product is installed. 000700 000800 2) All service as documented on the Phoenix Software FTP site, through 000900 release 7.1, has been incorporated into release 7.2 of the Key/101 001000 product. 001100 001200 3) All versions of the Key/101 product (except SAO) have been upgraded 001300 to support RMODE ANY execution. All non-batch components of the 001400 Key/101 product have been converted to 31 bit applications. The 001500 utilization of 24 bit storage has been reduced to approximately 001600 10K of 24 bit storage for each concurrently signed on Key/101 user. 001700 001800 4) The Key/101 CICS definitions have been changed. If you are using 001900 RDO please review the distributed source members: KMRDO and KMPLTSD. 002000 If you do not use RDO to maintain your Key/101 CICS definitions then 002100 please review source members: KMPCT, KMPPT, KMFCTV and KMPLTSD. 002200 (TASKDATALOC(ANY) has been added to all of the provided transaction 002300 definitions.) 002400 002500 5) All user exits (including the KEYMSSE exit) must now support AMODE 002600 31 execution. Some of the passed parameters will be defined in 31 002700 bit storage. Your exit(s) should be link edited as AMODE 31 or AMODE 002800 ANY and optionally as RMODE ANY. If your exit(s) are compiled with a 002900 reasonably current Cobol compiler then chances are they are already 003000 linked properly. If your exits are written in Assembler then some 003100 changes may be required to permit them to run as AMODE ANY programs. 003200 003300 6) The maximum size of the Key/101 CACHE buffer pool has been increased 003400 from 511K to 32M and the default distributed CACHE buffer pool size 003500 has been increased from 100K to 768K. By tailoring and running the 003600 provided KEYMS6C job stream you can change the default value. 003700 Acceptable values range from 64 (64K) to 32768 (32M) or zero. For 003800 all versions of the Key/101 system (except SAO) the cache buffer 003900 pool will reside in 31 bit storage. 004000 004100 ____________________________________________________________________ 004200 004300 004400 Fixes for currently supported versions of our products are published 004500 on our web site as they become available.
