(E)JES Users,

PTF PEJ0567, delivered with service item 0005 for release V4R5 and generally available on February 7, 2008 contains a fix for the problem described below:

     A "race" condition leads to unpredictable results
     (abend, loop, abend loop, etc.) when the ATTN key
     is pressed twice in a TSO/E session. An abend in
     the TCB while the SRB is running can cause both
     work units to be using the same stack areas.

One of our customers recently suffered an unplanned outage due to a looping abend202 caused by the above problem. All (E)JES V4R5 customers should check to be sure this PTF is applied.

We recommend all corrective service be installed on a regular basis.
